For me, there hasn't been a single more anticipated movie this year than James Bond's 23rd adventure, directed by one of the most interesting current filmmakers, Sam Mendes. Well, the title song by Adele has been out for a few hours and I'd like to know everyone's opinions on it. Although I don't listen to Adele at all, I like the song very much. It reminds me of Golden Eye a lot... Thoughts?
I'm not a huge Adele fan, but I've enjoyed both her albums and I grew up watching all the Bond movies. This sounds like your typical Bond theme, and I can't put my finger on what I am looking for.
ReplyDeleteWhen Muse released The Resistance in 2009, I thought that something like "Undisclosed Desires" would be cool for a Bond Theme.
I still have yet to listen to 2nd Law by them. What are your thoughts on it?
ReplyDelete2nd Law is not that bad like everyone says, I actually enjoy it, although it's far from their best material. I agree with Pitchfork on this one, the problem isn't that they've gone too far, the problem is they haven't gone far enough... It's pretty much hit or miss.
ReplyDeleteThe second people (like Chris Martin) were saying this is their best material to date made me nervous. I'll bring myself to listen to it before year's end!
